A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME

Movement and Breath

My Path

As long as I remember I've had this deep knowing within me that I'm  connected  to something greater that is always guiding me in my life. Growing up in India I was curious and fascinated by all the different cultures and religions but never understood why there was so much division and fighting in the name of religion if God is love and we are all one. I did not feel confined to any particular organized religion.

When I was 11 years old we were on a spiritual retreat from school and I was first drawn into the yogic teachings by this dynamic priest. For our contemplation there were all these big questions of life- Why am I here? What is my Purpose? What would my Epitaph say? That sure left an imprint on me as to my purpose on earth and led me to explore and study the art and science of yoga, Ayurveda, meditation, wisdom traditions and nutrition. It’s been pretty much my whole life and makes me who I am and what I stand and believe in. They taught me that all the answers lie within and we have to enjoy our precious time on earth and share our gifts with others.. There was guidance through different teachers at various junctures in my life- teachers in the form of ordinary people doing extra ordinary things for humanity, family, friends, colleagues, my children, books, nature and above all myself.  My ongoing spiritual practice informs me to share and guide others on this path. I am a perpetual student at heart open to learning each day. These practices have given me a deep awareness to a larger picture of life. Nothing has the greatest power to heal but the “SELF”. We only have to undo and not try to become- we already are. We are “Atman”- spirit, pure light and Love and as we journey in this human body which is our home , we must care for it so we can live our life to its fullest potential. Have a happy Human life in service and connection to all of creation. The eternal self is just continuing on its divine voyage.

Beyond my passion for yoga, I enjoy fun times with family and friends laughing, hiking, cooking, singing and travelling. I am blessed in this life to be a fun loving wife and mother of two amazing souls.
